Zafririm Lavnin consists of Syrah grapes, Petite Syrah (Dorif), Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon.
The wine was named after Horbat Lavnin, a settlement from the time of the Second Temple, near the vineyards. Numerous rock-hewn winepresses in the area attest to the production of local wine in ancient times. The grapes grow in the valley at the foot of Zafririm and in the Ella Valley.
The wine has been aged for 16 months in French and American oak barrels. Zafririm Lavnin has a deep purple color and a rich and round taste, with berries and figs, herbs and black pepper, the finish is long and velvety!

5 years agoI've personally tasted Zafririm's Lavnin blend. It is truly a unique and superior wine, with notes of local spices. If you're looking for a red wine that's different, yet delicate and sophisticated, this is for you. It makes a perfect gift for someone special or accompaniment with a celebratory meal.
