Desert wine is what we do!
This Unoaked Chardonnay Wine by Midbar Winery emits a bright yellow-white sheen. The medium body, lychee aromas, green apple and lemon twists, contribute to the wine's complexity which is supported by the characteristic freshness of the desert. The grapes were harvested by manual harvest during August and underwent long and cold fermentation in stainless steel vats, with careful attention not to add any external flavors that would interfere with the smell and fruit flavor. Additionally, the wine hasn't undergone a mole fermentation which also serves to maintain the freshness and sharpness of the fruit.
Our Chardonnay grapes come from a unique vineyard in the Negev Desert, around 800 meters above sea level. The characteristics of our wines reflect the desert habitat, which is very dry, but very carefully irrigated.
