Desert wine is what we do!
This delightful dry white blend by Midbar Winery is comprised of 51% Semion, 26% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Chardonnay and 8% Gewurz!
Discover aromas of lime grapefruit and green apple. Citrus flavour dominates, yet the acidity, length and minerals are well balanced, providing a light to medium-bodied experience, with a balanced fruity tint and supporting herbs throughout. All in all, this wine is accessible and pleasant to drink.
The grapes were harvested by manual harvest during July-August and underwent long and cold fermentation in stainless steel containers. To maintain the freshness and sharpness of the fruit, the wine has not undergone a mole fermentation. The grapes originate from a unique vineyard in the heights of the Negev Desert, 800 meters above sea level. Our wine characteristics reflect the desert habitat, which is completely dry, yet following a strict irrigation regime. A sparse spray helps maintain the freshness and natural complexity of the grape and is reflected in the wine. Furthermore, the sun's radiation and reflection on the soil contribute to the unique minerality in soil and rock.
