Desert wine is what we do!
Discover Midbar Winery's classic blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah, which is characterized by its purple-red color, aromas and flavors of ripe red fruit, plums and black pepper. The dominant fruitiness supported by the tree's flavors leads the wine to a long finish. The grapes were harvested by hand during the last week of August and were fermented in stainless steel containers. The wine was aged in French barrels for about 5 months.
Our Southern Red grapes originate from a unique vineyard in the heights of the Negev Desert, 800 meters above sea level. Our wine characteristics reflect the desert habitat, which is completely dry, yet following a strict irrigation regime. A sparse spray helps maintain the freshness and natural complexity of the grape and is reflected in the wine. Furthermore, the sun's radiation and reflection on the soil contribute to the unique minerality in soil and rock.
